Haimchar Upazilla
Haimchar is an Upazila under Chandpur District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is located at 23.0667° North 90.6375° East. Haimchar is bounded by Chandpur Sadar and Bhedarganj on the north, Hizla on the south, Raipur and Faridganj on the east, and Gosairhat on the west. There are two opinions regarding naming of Haichar. One group says that Haichar was named after a skilled collector Haim Babu. On the other hand, other group says that Haimchar was named after Bikrompur Jamindar Haim Babu.
